Guidelines for Parents

Please arrive at practice and games on time.  This will allow players ample time to stretch and warm up.  If you are going to be late you must call the coach.

We’ll end practice on time.  Please, pick up your child on time.  Arrive 10 minutes before ending time of practice to hear any announcements – players and parents will be addressed at this time.

Sit peacefully and cheer for our players, not against the other teams’ players.  They are trying to accomplish the same thing we are ….…… teach kids the game of Softball.

Parents will not yell anything at the umpire, the other team’s coaches, players or fans. This has been a problem in the past.

If there is a problem during a game, do not say ANYTHING to the umpire.  Let this up to the coach.  Rules state only the HEAD coach may address the umpire.  Again, if you cannot control yourself, you will be asked to leave.

We welcome cheers from parents, however coaches should be the ones giving instructions.  Paying registration does not give you the right to shout out instructions to ANY child.  Too many people instructing a child is confusing.

Playing time for your child will be determined by the coach only!  Parents have absolutely no say in playing time.

Parents will not criticize coaches.  If you have a question, concern, or complaint, please don’t question a coach in front of the players.  See the coach privately.  If you like to complain about everything, we suggest you sit out in center field, or you will be asked to leave.

This is a Catholic organization.   Absolutely no foul language.

If you cannot follow any of these simple rules please do not sign your daughter up for St. Joseph Softball.  If you do and violate ANY rule you may be asked to leave our organization.

I have read and agree to abide by these rules. _______________________________________
